Este festival inici\u00f3 como un espacio de exhibici\u00f3n para el cine de horror contempor\u00e1neo, as\u00ed como para el rescate y revaloraci\u00f3n del cine cl\u00e1sico y de culto. Esta celebraci\u00f3n, que se ha llevado a cabo anualmente de forma ininterrumpida, ha logrado un crecimiento constante, sin perder su esencia como formador de audiencias y comunidad. Macabro involucra al p\u00fablico especializado y cin\u00e9filo, a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y al gremio cinematogr\u00e1fico a trav\u00e9s de las sesiones de preguntas y respuestas con invitados, las clases magistrales, talleres, m\u00fasica, retrospectivas, homenajes, fiestas y promoci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A lo largo de\u00a0 20 a\u00f1os se ha consolidado como uno de los festivales m\u00e1s respetados del circuito en M\u00e9xico y Latinoam\u00e9rica. Medios internacionales, como la <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Movie Maker Magazine<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, lo han incluido en tres ocasiones (2018, 2019 y 2021) en su lista de \u201cBloody best genre film festivals of the world\u201d, as\u00ed como<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Dread Central<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; medio especializado en cine de terror-, como uno de los mejores festivales de cine de horror en el mundo para 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Macabro llega a su cita anual en un formato h\u00edbrido, pues responde a los cambios y necesidades del momento; una vez m\u00e1s se adapta y reinventa ante los retos del presente y mira hacia el futuro que trae nuevas oportunidades y nuevos caminos para el g\u00e9nero, de esta manera, muestra \u2013 a trav\u00e9s de la programaci\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o- su propia diversidad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>INAUGURACI\u00d3N<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo, Macabro realizar\u00e1 su inauguraci\u00f3n en <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">streaming<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, el cual contar\u00e1 con invitados nacionales e internacionales que hablar\u00e1n sobre su participaci\u00f3n en Macabro.
