Las tres bestias, los hijos bastardos y vergüenza de la pareja Mazzini, contemplan desde el abandono como sus padres aman a Pola, su saludable hermana menor. Después de ver como la sirvienta desuella una gallina, las bestias decidirán tomar las mismas medidas con Pola, con la esperanza de ser amados de nuevo.

The three beasts, the illegitimate children and shame of the Mazzini couple, watch from neglect as their parents dote on Pola, their healthy younger sister. After witnessing the maid slaughter a chicken, the beasts decide to take the same measures with Pola, hoping to be loved again.
