Cervecería Concordia and Macabro Fich Join Forces to Create the #BelgianMacabro Beer

On a journey outside the underworld, the spirit of Macabro visited the Hacienda de la Concordia, where he found the magical ingredients to brew his own beer. There he also met José "Sammael" Aguilar, the brewery's HeadBrew, and Sommelier Chantal Alonso. And so, following a mandate from the supernatural world, there was born #BelgianMacabro (Belgian Golden Strong Ale), the beer created especially for the annual celebration in honor of Macabro.

This is how José describes the moment of his encounter with Macabro: "Amid shadows of beer glasses coming and going, I sensed that something Macabro was on its way; before I knew it, I was holding a dreamlike vision in my hand. I descended into the underworld, surrounded by cauldrons, utensils, ingredients, and a bonfire, and set out to extract the feminine essence of malt from Gembloux, Belgium. With the help of great black ravens, I added molasses from the Huasteca Potosina to obtain an exquisite wort. Souls in torment, as if in procession, slowly added the fine, hand-selected hops, giving the must a soft, spiced, citrus aroma.

Gargoyles fiercely guarded the alchemical process through a full lunar cycle, to yield a sand-colored fermented drink.
