Synopsis: Carmen is 11 years old and is facing physical and emotional changes. On Christmas Eve, she dreams of a fantastical creature that takes her to the place where she grew up. When she wakes up, the small creature is in her hands. She tries to escape with it, but along the way she runs into obstacles — like her drunk uncle groping her cousin, and the unexpected arrival of her first period.
