Edgar Nito has quickly become one of the young rising stars of Mexican cinema, with two short films and a segment that is part of the highly celebrated genre anthology “México Bárbaro,” showing an impeccable visual production style, with great wide shots in rural settings and a formal rigor rarely seen in Mexican genre cinema.

This program, selected by Nito himself, offers an early retrospective with the director in attendance, who will talk about his influences, as well as his future projects, which have earned him selection by labs and markets as prestigious as the Rotterdam Lab and Blood Window at Ventana Sur.
