Macabro presents its 2024 image: #AnimusMacabro
We present the image for #MacabroXXIII!
#AnimusMacabro, created by Diego Álvarez and Roxana Ruiz, is an illustration inspired by Señor Macabro, the festival's omnipresent host, and by the stage persona of Tobias Forge (singer of the Swedish band Ghost).
From August 22 to September 1, the festival will dedicate significant moments to animation cinema in its darkest form.

Bite-sized horror: The Macabro FICH 2026 short film selection
From August 12 to 23, the Mexican capital will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mexico City International Horror Film Festival, MACABRO. As with every edition, one of the most anticipated selections is the short films, which this year features over 60 national and international projects.
