#MacabroXVII at Film Club Café: Alucarda, book presentation + screening of the classic

This year Macabro celebrated the 40th anniversary of Alucarda: la hija de las tinieblas, the film that led its director Juan López Moctezuma to posthumous acclaim and turned actress Tina Romero into one of the iconic figures of national horror cinema. The celebration prepared by Macabro included the publication of a commemorative book and a special screening of the film.

The publication of the commemorative book Alucarda includes graphic material from the archive of Juan López Moctezuma himself, held by Manuel Santillán Durán, as well as texts by specialists on the subject such as Mauricio Matamoros, Rebeca Jiménez Calero, and Iván Farías, among others. The edition was published by Samsara Editorial, coordinated by Edna Campos, director of Macabro.
