#MacabroXX: Calls for Participation
This year we begin with great enthusiasm for the celebration of our twentieth anniversary, and we are launching the publication [of the call for entries] to take part in the XX edition of Macabro: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival, which will take place in August 2021. The 20th-anniversary celebration will take place with a hybrid model (streaming, online activities, and screenings at physical venues).
We ask that you read this call for entries and the registration form carefully and in full before submitting your work and/or registration forms. MACABRO FICH PRESENTS THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMMING FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Bite-sized horror: The Macabro FICH 2026 short film selection
From August 12 to 23, the Mexican capital will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mexico City International Horror Film Festival, MACABRO. As with every edition, one of the most anticipated selections is the short films, which this year features over 60 national and international projects.
