Enjoy the restored version of Frankenstein (1910) here

This Sunday, the IndieWire website published a link to the Library of Congress with the restored version of Frankenstein, produced by the Edison Manufacturing Company and considered by them to be a loose adaptation of the story.

This is a new restoration of the 13-minute short film. The version doesn't reveal anything new or unusual; however, the story of how it was acquired by the library is particularly special. "Alois F. Dettlaff acquired it in the '50s and carried it with him to film festivals and monster conventions for decades; in a meeting with the then-president of AMPAS, Robert Wise, in 1986, he helped get it sent to the Academy for preservation and safekeeping."

"It took time for the reel to reach our preservation lab to be scanned in 2K; afterward, we worked on a digital restoration."
