Mondays in November Are for Horror in Guanajuato!

Mexico Macabro: 20 Years of Horror Cinema in Mexico arrives at the Museo Iconográfico del Quijote on November 1, 8, and 15, thanks to the collaboration with Aurora: Guanajuato International Horror Film Festival.

Mexico Macabro: 20 Years of Horror Cinema in Mexico is a retrospective featuring titles that were part of the programme of Macabro: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival between 2008 and 2020.

The series began digitally on August 20, 2021 as part of the programme of the twentieth edition of Macabro: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival on Plataforma Cine, and after stops in Puebla, Morelos, and Chihuahua, it now arrives in Guanajuato Capital.

This series stands not only as one of the most representative celebration activities of the largest and most traditional genre film festival in Mexico, but also as a testament to what the 21st-century renaissance of —mostly independent— production has meant for a genre that achieved great results in the early years of cinema in our country.
