Macabro Monday: start the week with this mix of horror soundtracks

In fact, sometimes the score does so much for a movie that a mediocre one, like in the case of Tourist Trap, becomes a movie we remember as scarier than it actually is, thanks to its excellent scoring by Pino Donaggio. The thing with horror movies is that, quietly, they have plenty of “hits” like “the main theme from Halloween,” the tune of Freddy Krueger, the little echoing noises that play in the woods every timeJason slooowly picks off the next horny teenager in line (yes, we're looking at you, Kevin Bacon.) That's why this mix, made by the electronic musicians Quiet Village, feels to us like the equivalent of the best party a horror fan could be invited to.
