VENUES AND DATES SET FOR THE XXIV EDITION OF MACABRO, MEXICO CITY'S INTERNATIONAL HORROR FILM FESTIVAL

The XXIV edition of MACABRO will take place from August 19 to 31
Nine main venues and eight alternate venues are planned
Macabro will present a must-see program for all lovers of the genre

Mexico City, May 28, 2025.— The XXIV edition of MACABRO, the International Horror Film Festival of Mexico City, will take place from August 19 to 31. In various venues across the capital, the festival will present a carefully curated program that includes screenings, tributes, special events, and experiences for all genre lovers.

Since its inception, MACABRO has committed to a spectacular program, with special guests, cult figures, terrifying performances, and a selection of venues that not only bring historical and cinematic value, but also enrich the audience's experience by combining film and atmosphere in heritage and traditional spaces.

Venues are a key piece in building the narrative of horror cinema. For this reason, this year the festival will feature nine main venues, where the most notable events and the most important screenings will take place, as well as eight alternate venues that will host the most indie and independent offerings of the genre.

In addition to the physical venues that bring together thousands of spectators every year, this XXIV edition will also feature a digital venue that amplifies the festival, where a special curation will be presented to continue celebrating horror cinema and its creators.
