#MacabroXVI: Call for Entries 2017

• MACABRO FICH opens its call for entries for the 16th edition of the Mexico City International Horror Film Festival.
• A new competition section is added: Best Latin American Horror Feature Film, which will present the Macabro Zafiro award.
• For the first time, an audience award will be presented: Macabro Fantasma.

MACABRO: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival, opens its official selection and participation call for its 16th edition, the highlights of which are the addition of a new competition section that will award the best Latin American horror feature film, and, for the first time, an audience award that will take into account all the contemporary feature film production screened across the various sections that make up the festival's programme.

These two awards join those already given by the international horror feature film, international short film, and Mexican horror short film competitions. Entries may be submitted through the Film Freeway portal (https://filmfreeway.com/festival/Macabro (abre en nueva pestaña)), via Vimeo or Dropbox, or by airmail. The rules of the call for entries can be found at www.macabro.mx

The entry deadline is April 28, 2017. The sixteenth edition of Macabro Mexico City International Horror Film Festival will take place in August 2017.
