CORD: Torture-Porn After the End of the World.

By Pablo Rendón.
Imagine a dystopian future, perhaps not so distant, set in the middle of a frigid landscape. A holed-up man named Czuperski is one of the few survivors in a world where sex has become a source of danger due to sanitary conditions. His mission is to administer doses of sexual pleasure through complex devices, a sadistic technology whose purpose is to satisfy the need for human contact through pain.
Tanja, a woman addicted to sex, deprived of any outlet to ease her fervent need for intercourse, submits to the degrading experiments of the perverse Czuperski. However, the roles of hunter and prey will soon dissolve in the face of the loneliness afflicting our two protagonists. Could there be room for love in such a putrid, desolate environment?
Cord, the first feature film by Colombian director Pablo González, is a ceremony of torture and pleasure that oscillates between post-apocalyptic fiction and torture porn, one that will delight fans of the darkest George Miller as much as those of the most perverse James Wan.
As part of a special collaboration between Macabro FICH and Cine Tonalá, the Colombian filmmaker's film will screen three times, shown in a double bill that includes the medium-length film "Devastación" by Tijuana-based Abraham Sánchez, at the venue located at Tonalá 261, Col. Roma Norte; Saturday the 21st at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday the 25th at 9:30 p.m., and Saturday the 28th at 7:00 p.m. To get your tickets, just visit: http://cinetonala.mx/presentaciones-especiales/macabro-presenta-cord/
