Pablo Ángeles Zuman "hombreZOO"

I studied for a degree in Graphic Communication Design at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Xochimilco. Influenced by the genre films, comics, and video games I discovered at a very early age, I became interested in telling stories.
My work is a hybrid of traditional analog art and digital art. I began my career as an illustrator for film magazines and textbooks, then as a graphic designer and animator for Canal 22, and later as a digital artist at studios abroad such as Dneg, Weta and ILM.
In 2014 I finished my short film “ H.P. Lovecraft´s Pickman's Model” (El Modelo de Pickman), which won the Rigo Mora Award that same year; that same year the short was also part of the official competition selection at Annecy and won the Ariel in 2015, as well as the jury and audience awards at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in California.
I currently live and work in Japan, and I'm still doing what I love most: animation. At the same time, I'm seeking funding and preparing my animated feature film project:
"No hay dios en esta tierra," a horror, science fiction, and action story, my favorite genres.
