#News: AHS's Ninth Season Is Titled 1984
American Horror Story returns for its ninth season later this year, as reported by the portal IndieWire (abre en nueva pestaña), which added that the official title of the new episodes is American Horror Story: 1984, revealed through a mysterious teaser released by the show's creator, wildly successful producer Ryan Murphy.
The teaser shared by Murphy shows a teenage girl running through the woods as she tries to escape a knife-wielding man dressed in black. The imagery immediately evokes the slasher films characteristic of the 80s, such as Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
