#News: Full list of Fangoria Chainsaw Awards winners

Now that the Oscars euphoria has passed — this year particularly exciting for Mexico given Roma's strong showing and its 10 nominations — it's time to turn our attention to the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, which yesterday recognized some of the standout films and performances in the horror genre — systematically overlooked, we know, by the Hollywood academy.

The winners were chosen in a vote open to the public, and the list included films that some critics flagged as glaring Oscar snubs, an awards show that definitely let great work and performances slip by, such as Hereditary or Suspiria.

On another note, it's striking that Fangoria has a special award for best streaming release, and at a time when the debate over new forms of exhibition is red-hot, it makes us think these awards may have a clearer read on the future of film exhibition than the traditional industry does.
