A new edition of FANTASTIKA PITCHING FORUM is approaching, an online event designed for producers interested in developing Ibero-American genre-film co-productions, which will take place March 25-26-27 in an online format.

An initiative celebrating its fifth year, which can already be counted as another success after receiving 228 horror and fantasy projects — 34% more than in the previous call for entries. Driven by the event's six co-organizing countries, in partnership with a total of 17 countries represented. A campaign echoed by the sector's leading institutions and specialized outlets, whose impact indicators attest to the interest it generates and, especially, to the good health enjoyed by Ibero-American genre cinema.

In the days leading up to the event , an announcement will be made on the official website (abre en nueva pestaña) of the list of the 32 finalist projects and 26 semifinalist projects — a broad and diverse selection of quality proposals that will highlight the rich variety and scale of genre-film production in the Ibero-American sphere. Information on all of them will be available on the intranet, with exclusive access for professionals and companies in the FANTASTIKA community.

We'd like to remind you that FANTASTIKA PITCHING FORUM is conceived as the starting point for showcasing this edition's selected projects, accessible on the official website (abre en nueva pestaña) throughout the current year. It will be the first of the initiatives FantastiKa will organize throughout 2026, as part of its strategy of combining online and in-person formats to progressively expand its annual agenda of discussions, training sessions, and thematic gatherings.

FANTASTIKA – Ibero-American Horror and Fantasy Co-production Forum is the evolution of the Co-production Forum co-organized by the associations PAC (Spain) and APIMA (Argentina) since 2021, a gathering created by and for independent production companies with the goal of building a network to share experience and knowledge, showcase projects, and generate Ibero-American horror and fantasy co-productions.

Currently co-organized by those entities together with Macabro FICH (Mexico), BRAVI - BRAZILIAN CONTENT (Brazil), ASOPROD (Uruguay), and Fundación Enic Producciones (Colombia), and with the collaboration of such important spaces as Ventana Sur – Fantastic!, Sitges Film Festival, HisteriaLab, and FantasoLab, the project continues expanding its network of participating countries, production companies, and projects. This expansion marks an exciting stage of early maturity, establishing itself as a leading professional space for the sector, one that already brings together more than 800 companies represented through its member associations.

FANTASTIKA responds to a clear need: we are experiencing a boom in talent, new voices, and opportunities in genre cinema across the Ibero-American space. A boom that calls for solid, professional, and lasting spaces that support, showcase, and strengthen independent production companies and their talent.

That's why it stands as a shared home. A place where the sector can meet, recognize itself, and collaborate. An active agent in strengthening and expanding the international market for independent Ibero-American genre cinema. Because co-production is not just a strategy for viability, but a way to enrich stories, add perspectives, and multiply reach. To generate Community.
