Today, Macabro takes you to discover one of the most popular spots in the Roma neighborhood: "The Witches' House," located on the corner of Río de Janeiro and Durango.

Many of us might imagine that the place's fame surely comes from witches who once lived there, transforming into cats at night and eating children's private parts, but honestly, that's not the case.

"The Witches' House" is known by this name because of its two-sided pitched roofs, which resemble a witch's hat, and its arched windows, which create the illusion of eyes… in other words, with a little imagination, you can see the face of a witch in the building. The place was built in 1908 by an engineer named Pingeon.

Of course, legends and supernatural stories are never in short supply: at the time, there was much talk of a story that a witch named "Panchita" lived there and was visited by many people from show business and politics, since besides being very effective, she didn't charge for her work.

Supposedly, the rituals "Panchita" performed in this house left many spirits trapped on the earthly plane, since they're said to be heard complaining and moving things around at night.

There's a restaurant-bar very close by, so on a leisurely afternoon, "The Witches' House" is a good option to visit.
