Testigo Intimo (Santiago Fernández Calvete, Argentina, 2015)

A love triangle, two brothers, a crime, and a double life hiding much more than meets the eye at first glance.

Testigo íntimo is a thriller that pays homage to the great Alfred Hitchcock from start to finish, in a story where two characters unravel their own double standards as they try to cover up and escape the consequences of their crime. Santiago Fernández Calvete, in his second feature film, shows great talent for using suspense as a vehicle to confront moral dilemmas in their most extreme forms, laying bare humanity's basest passions.

Unmissable for fans of twisted, bloody love triangles. Obviously, also for fans of Hitchcock's films.

La Furia del Demonio (La Rage du Demon, Fabien Delange, France, 2016)

No filmmaker in history has been more influential than Georges Meliés. A master of special effects, he laid the foundation for nearly every film genre in existence and, moreover, harnessed the narrative and technical qualities that this new art form possessed in the early twentieth century. Despite his influence, dozens of his films have been lost between fires and the author's own bankruptcy.

Some people even lost their lives watching the film.

Short in length, La Rage du Démon is a great piece for fans of the eerie mysteries that surround film history.
