Third Call for Entries "60 Seconds Before Midnight

You have until midnight to create something unforgettable. Do you dare?

Macabro: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival launches its call for entries for the third edition of “60 Seconds Before Midnight,” this time focused on producing vertical-format minute-long films.

Open to students from: • FES Acatlán • FES Cuautitlán

The challenge: Create a short film of up to 1:30 min (including credits) in vertical format without the help of artificial intelligence. We recommend using your phone or a DSLR camera to record. Remember, what matters most is your creativity in tackling the genres accepted for the contest.

Genres: • Horror • Science fiction • Fantasy • Thriller

How to participate? Send your project to: programacio[email protected] along with the following information: • Download link (Drive or Dropbox). • Student ID (both sides) or class schedule proving that the project's director or producer is a student at one of the participating schools. • Project poster.

Important: • If your film is in a language other than Spanish, you must add subtitles.

The prizes:

• First place will receive a four-hour mentoring session to write or rewrite a genre screenplay, led by writer, screenwriter, and director Sandra Becerril.
• The top ten entries will be part of a special program on the platform nuestrocine.mx (abre en nueva pestaña), in a channel dedicated exclusively to the contest.
